The Temple of Torment
The Temple of Torment is a tiled roguelike programmed with Python 2.7 and Doryen Library.
Main influences: Diablo series, ADOM, D&D computer games.
Game content so far
- d20: Everything is calculated with d20 die, this is however not compatible with d20 system
- Hardcore Mode and Standard Mode
- Tiles: Modified Adam Bolt's Angband tiles with Fernando "Endorya" Pereira's tiles
- Traps: Stun, teleport, confusion and arrow. Traps are magical runes on floor, which cannot be disarmed
- Status conditions: Poisoned, stunned, confused, frozen
- Food system: Food must be eaten to survive
- Nine unique character classes: Fighter, Paladin, Monk, Ranger, Rogue, Bard, Cleric, Sorcerer and Druid
- Maps: Premade maps and random maps
- Quests:
- Main Quest: Locate the Temple of Torment and find the source of evil
- Side Quest: Save Giladir's life with healing potion
- Side Quest: Rescue Arabeth's husband / Rescue the prisoner
- Side Quest: Destroy the risen cleric who's become a necromancer
- Side Quest: Find mushrooms for Ulf'thad
- Side Quest: Kill the bandit leader
- Combat: Blocking, missing, critical hits
- Dialogue: Dialogues with every human npc in game, shop system built in to dialogue system
- Cursed items: Cursed items can be identified on altar and removed with scrolls
- Items: Tens of items: one-handed, two-handed, ranged weapons, armors, potions, food, lantern
- Monsters: Tens of monsters, some monsters have special abilities such as experience drain.
